
The RGBW 24VDC Compact Dimmer Extension Air communicates with the Loxone Miniserver wirelessly using the Loxone air technology, which is a radio frequency based protocol.Some of you might already noticed that Loxone silently discontinued few products and one of the areas impacted are DMX products. The power supply has a 2-conductor wire connected from the DC outputs of the power supply to the DC inputs of the Loxone RGBW 24VDC Compact Dimmer Extension Air. To the bottom right of the RGBW 24VDC Compact Dimmer Extension Air is an LED DC power supply. From the top of the Miniserver is also a line indicating its attachment to the LAN via a network switch which is located outside and on the top of the panel. The power supply has a 2-conductor wire connected to the Miniserver to provide 24VDC power. To the left of the Miniserver is a Din Rail mounted 24VDC power supply. The Miniserver and its respective power supply is installed on a DIN rail, while the RGBW 24VDC Compact Dimmer Extension Air and its respective power supply is installed close to the LEDs it’s controlling. The Miniserver is powered by a separate DIN rail 24VDC power supply, while the RGBW 24VDC Compact Dimmer Extension Air is powered by a 12-24VDC LED power supply. If using the Miniserver Go Components List 1 x 18 AWG to 23 AWG twisted pair (solid core and shielded preferable) to connect the Miniserver Loxone Link to the Air Base Extension. 1 x 18 AWG to 23 AWG pair (solid core preferred) to transfer power from the LED Power supply to the Air device. 1 x 18 AWG to 23 AWG pair (solid core preferred) to transfer power from the Miniserver to the Air Base Extension. 1 x 18 AWG to 23 AWG pair (solid core preferred) to transfer power from Power supply to Miniserver. 1 x Cat5 or better, network Cable to connect the Miniserver to your network or computer to program the system. 1 x 12 or 24VDC power Supply if required for the LED lights. Should you be using more than one cable, the strain relief can be achieved by adding the supplied cable straps. The RGBW 24V Compact Dimmer is designed in such a way that strain on the connected cable is relieved by the cover cap. For those installations that may not present the chance to pull a cable, Air technology takes care of the wireless communication for intelligent automation and control.
